At VelvetHeart.org, we believe that compassion has the power to change lives. Our mission is to support women and children facing hardship by providing resources, opportunities, and a community that empowers them to thrive.
Founded by Tamara Fellner, VelvetHeart was built on the idea that no one should face life’s struggles alone. We are committed to offering both immediate relief and long-term solutions—ranging from emergency assistance to educational initiatives—that restore dignity, security, and hope.
VelvetHeart is more than a nonprofit. It is a movement of resilience and humanity. We bring together people from all walks of life to stand united in compassion, bridging the gap between those who can give and those in need of support.

At We are here to help women and children to get out of violent and abusive situations. But it is even more important to create the life after. Often women don’t dare to leave their abusers, because they don’t have anywhere to go and get support. After this fight of your life, begins the fight to survive. There is not enough strength to work on dreams and goals. Even though they were the thing that kept them fighting and alive.
